WVU Selected to Host NCAA Baseball Regional

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. – The West Virginia University baseball team has been selected to host an NCAA Baseball Regional for the first time since 1955.

The Mountaineers (37-20) will be making their 13th NCAA Championship appearance in program history and hosting the event for the second time in team history. WVU, which earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Championship, will host a four-team NCAA Regional for the first time.

The NCAA Morgantown Regional will take place from Friday, May 31-Monday, June 3, at Monongalia County Ballpark. The complete NCAA Championship bracket, including which three teams will join WVU at the Morgantown Regional, will be unveiled on Monday, May 27 at noon ET, on ESPNU.

"We are super excited to host an NCAA Regional and welcome everyone to Morgantown," WVU coach Randy Mazey said. "This is a great opportunity for our program and all of Mountaineer Nation, and I know our team can't wait to play in front of a packed Monongalia County Ballpark on Friday night."

All 2019 WVU baseball season ticket holders and active Mountaineer Athletic Club (MAC) members from the 2018-19 season can now log into their account at WVUGAME.com to request priority all-session tickets for the Morgantown Regional. WVU baseball season ticket holders will be able to request their same regular-season seats and request additional all-session tickets through the priority request form.

The Mountaineer Ticket Office will be open from 2-6 p.m. on Monday to take priority all-session requests over the phone. WVU baseball season ticket holders and active MAC members may request all-session tickets by calling 1-800-WVU GAME during these hours on Monday afternoon. Sales over the phone will continue at 9 a.m. Tuesday as well.

The priority deadline to request tickets for season ticket holders and MAC members is Tuesday, May 28, at noon.

Ticket options and prices for the all-session passes are listed below:
  •  All-session behind home plate: $60
  •  All-session behind dugouts: $50
All-session tickets will include a ticket for each of the seven games that could potentially be played as part of the Morgantown Regional. Six games are guaranteed, two each Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with a seventh game on Monday if necessary. The ballpark will be cleared at the end of each game, and a separate ticket is required for admission to each game.

All priority ticket requests will be allocated based on availability with the best available price point based on MAC annual giving level and priority points within each giving level. If the price point you request is not available, your request will be filled with the best available price point. Requests are not guaranteed, and fans will only be charged for their ticket request if the order can be filled. An email confirmation will be sent Tuesday afternoon once all priority requests are evaluated.

All-session tickets will be e-mailed to the e-mail address provided on each account and fans should print their tickets at home for entry at the Monongalia County Ballpark gates.

Based on availability, all-session tickets will go on sale to the public through the Mountaineer Ticket Office at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28.

If available, information regarding single-game ticket availability will be announced on Wednesday, May 29.
